Rancho Padre Farms is a split certified organic and conventionally farmed operation located in Exeter, California, in the heart of the farm-rich Central San Joaquin Valley. A hotbed for stone fruit and citrus, the Central Valley is the nation's leading producer of agricultural products. Our 9.5 acres planted in various summer stone fruitis dedicated to being a certified organic operation, while our 18+ acres of citrus is now conventionally farmed. Because of the serious threat of the Asian Citrus Psyllid, we are REQUIRED to apply certain materials that are not allowable in organic farming.
Rancho Padre Farms is certified organic by A Bee Organic located in De Luz, CA. A Bee Organic is an accredited certifying agency of the United States Department of Food and Agriculture.
Exeter is located about one hour northeast of Bakersfield, sitting along the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Tulare County. We are just 30 minutes from Sequoia National Forest.
Tulare County just surpassed Fresno County as California's leading county agriculture production.
Rancho Padre is owned and operated by Robert "Bobby" Todd and his wife Jovita. Bobby was in education for seven years as a high school English teacher prior to turning his attention full-time to the family farm. Jovita is a registered nurse. Bobby and Jovita have three wonderful children, Robert 28, Danica 17, and Brandon 16.
We look forward to sharing our organic farming experience and California's best farmed fruit.
