Simmer Rock Farm

Simmer Rock Farm is a small operation, founded by two great friends with like minded interests and goals, including community support, environmental concerns and safe, sustainable growing practices. Simmer Rock specializes in a diverse variety of naturally grown vegetables and fruits, with an effort to produce heirloom varieties. In 2010, Springfield Farm of Sparks, MD offered us a portion of their land to expand our business and broaden our market range. This expansion has given us the opportunity to provide more produce to multiple outlets. You can find us at a number of farmers markets, the Springfield Farm store (Friday-Sunday , 10-5:30) and at over a dozen restaurants within Baltimore city and county. Our CSA is available from the end of May to the end of October, with multiple package options our vegetables, Springfield Farm's eggs, Gunpowder Bison Products, and the occasional inclusion of various fruits from like minded local growers. CSA shares are offered on a first come, first served basis with limited availability. Our goal is to transition to Certified Organic this year.
