Quaker Oaks Farm began in 1984 as a weekend getaway. In 1996, the family moved here permanently. That year our farm animal sanctuary opened. A place for farm animals who need a loving home. Then in 1997, we opened up our family store on the farm. Known for our eclectic wares, butter tarts, hand stuffed olives, and other treats, we have been servicing the Monck road ever since.
In 2016, the farm added a market garden enterprise, opening a second store devoted to selling fresh vegetables, and as a pick up for our CSA program. Everything on the farm is grown naturally, without the use of any sprays (even organic certified ones) or chemical fertilizers. We are also transitioning to a no-till, permanent bed, system of growing. By not tilling our soil, our goal is to create a natural habitat, that works with nature to fight pests and disease, and to promote the growth of healthy, nutrient dense, food.
Farm tours can be arranged with prior notice.
