River Bottom Farms

River Bottom Farms is a small organic farm located a few miles east of San Marcos Texas. We grow seasonal fruits and vegetables using organic methods. We are in production 90 percent of the year growing a wide variety of tasty fresh produce to local tables. River Bottom Farms was created in 2010 by Hank Davis. It then was a no more than a quarter acre. Thru the last few years it has grown to over an acre. The idea for the name River Bottom Farms stems mainly from its location perched upon a hill above the beautiful San Marcos river bottom. In 2010 River Bottom Farms participated in one farmers market in San Marcos. Since then we have added multiple markets between the San Marcos and Austin Area. Our goal here at River Bottom Farms is to provide Fresh Produce grown following Organic Standards and Sustainable Farming practices to our local community. River Bottom Farms uses 100 percent organic products and sustainable farming practices. These include the use of compost for main source of fertility, cover cropping between crops and crop rotation. We take good care to ensure that all crops are properly cared from the time the harvested until the time they make it into your hands. We do not do scheduled spraying of crops, the only time we will use pesticide (OMRI listed ONLY) is when they are absolutely necessary.
