We are a diverse family farm growing 3+- acres of produce, plants, maple syrup and cut flowers for our farm stand, local restaurants, our farm to fork dinners and a busy Farmers market.
We are looking for 2 interns to live and work on our farm from mid May through Sept. (could be longer or shorter). Presently we have some laying hens, we usually raise meet birds here as well to serve for our on farm dinners. We are vegetarians but know the value of raising good local food. Our children who helped build our farm are now 26 and 22. We've had a CSA and have raised many types of animals, as well as produce maple syrup and herbal products. There are many opportunities on our farm for an intern to try there own ideas with gardening, animals, or to run an idea by us and we'll try and make it happen for you. We have increadible mountain views with beautiful sunrises, sunsets, moon rises and moonsets. We live in an agricultural and athletic meca, so there is much to see, learn and do in this area

Intern will learn salad mix production, greenhouse and field seeding, transplanting, planting, many types, tools and their uses for weeding, harvesting and market prep. Intern will also learn the many varieties of produce and flowers from seed to harvest stage as well as go over season extension, seed saving, food storage, canning, dehydrating and rood cellaring, farm to fork dinners & more!
