Community CROPS: Combining, Resources, Opportunities & People for Sustainability is a nonprofit organization which works with beginning farmers in Lincoln, Nebraska to grow and market agriculture products. Our training farm, Prairie Pines Community Farm, hosts over eight farms in addition to CROPS staff production. All food is grown using the sustainable methods, and we are planning to become Certified Naturally Grown in fall 2013. We sell our vegetables at Farmers' Markets and through a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. Funds raised support the beginning farmers and are used to grow the project. Community CROPS also has community gardens throughout Lincoln, although that produce is used by the families growing it and is not sold.
