In the fall of 2006 our family bought land for Whitefeather Organics, LLC. Starting from scratch we built the barn, greenhouses, soil, and future for the farm. We are still in the early stages of infrastructure and have many projects in the works. We raise mostly vegetables, mushrooms, and some fruits. We also like to raise animals to help manage pasture, add diversity, and cycle farm extras. We are certified organic. Crop rotation, garden separation, and a greater understanding of nature are used to control disease and pests. For soil nutrition, we use intense cover cropping, grazing, and a large farm-based compost. We have a goal for the farm to be a permanent fixture in the community, and we keep that in mind in every aspect, from where we get our energy to how we build our buildings. Education is also a focus of the farm. We teach workshops, mentor interns and offer shareholders the opportunity to work for their food. Being a member is more than a box of veggies, it nurturing a healthy future for the community.

The Whitefeather's know where it's at! Beautiful produce, perfect amounts of everything in each box, variety! They have strawberries, shiitake mushrooms, fresh garlic, mint, and not just a whole box full of overgrown zucchini! Well worth every penny!
