We grow vegetables, herbs, and flowers on land we lease from a local farmer who raises grass-fed beef. We are excited to be re-establishing beehives on the property this year to benefit the pollinators and to boost crop production.
Down to Earth was founded in 2006, which makes the 2023 season our 18th year. We are proudly member-run, and our staff are volunteers who work for their share of the produce and a small travel stipend. Those volunteers come back, year after year, committed to the belief that healthy, organic, locally produced food matters. When we grow that food together, we build community.
