Wilson's Woods

When we realized that life (and our neighbors) was becoming a liiiitle too closed-in, we decided to pack up our family and move to a place with some elbow room. A place where our kids could grow up and learn about nature and food. A place where we could raise animals and grow our own produce. In the spring of 2019, we did just that. Welcome to Wilson's Woods - our ever-evolving 35 acres in mid-Michigan. Or as Mr. Wilson calls it, "our own little slice of the earth pie"!

When we moved here in the spring of 2019, we just knew we had to expand. We talked and dreamed about what this place could be someday, and quickly realized - why not start now?! We got to work making plans, drawing out the garden, carefully choosing fruit tree types - all the while making this house our home and getting settled. We are ever-evolving, learning and growing - and teaching our kids along the way!

We have big plans for Wilson's Woods for 2021. We are adding ducks to our pond in the spring, more chickens to our flock, more fruit trees to our orchard and of course we are expanding the garden! We have bees that will be producing some amazing wild flower honey, and our maple trees will be providing us with sap to make maple syrup! ALL of which will add to our collection for the 2021 season!
