Homestead Ecofarm

We started Homestead Ecofarm through our passion for farming from the Agroecology methods for sustainable farming. Agroecology is farming that centers on food production that makes the best use of nature's goods and services while not damaging these resources. We strive to use farming practices that are free from chemicals and pesticides, non-GMO, organic when possible that result in the healthiest food possible while improving the soil and land. We have a special interest in preserving heritage breeds and we raise rare Romeldale/CVM sheep, heritage turkeys and chickens. We use only heirloom and/or organic seeds and plants whenever possible as we find these offer better taste and nutrition vs hybrid and GMO plants. We do not use pesticides, not on our animals, plants or in or apiary. Instead we focus on healthy soil and natural pest management practices. Our values are sustainable, renewable, and chemical free. We offer our food and products direct to consumer through our full farm and cut flower CSA, local farmers markets and our online farm store.
