First Fruits Homestead is a family run vegetable farm in Charleston IL. Co-owners Jerry & Lauren Calandrilla and Owen & Jess Sweitzer founded the Homestead in 2015, in which we all felt the calling to get back to a basic life style. In the early development of this concept we had set values on what we wanted to focus on; Faith, Family and Fellowship (community). As our ministry developed we found that Farming is the vehicle in which we can Give, Teach and connect. Our 2018 CSA will run for 14 weeks, starting May 29. Members can choose an every week share or an every other week share. Pick up days are on Tuesdays from 4-6:30 pm at First Fruits Homestead. We also offer free delivery to Neoga United Methodist Church every other week. We also offer delivery to your home or workplace for an additional fee. Our goal is to provide our members with at least 10-15 seasonal items per pickup. Quantities vary with the growing season and can be expected to grow as additional crops mature.
