The Sumter Farmers Market proudly serves the greater Sumter area and surrounding community. Through the generosity of the University of South Carolina Sumter, the farmers market is held weekly on Fridays from noon-5 pm (April-November) on university property at 200 Miller Road. The Sumter Farmers Market is independently governed by its own market board and we are celebrating our 6th year in 2023.

The Sumter Farmers Market offers local area farmers, artisans, bakers, food trucks, and other vendors without a storefront, a venue to sell their products directly to the consumer. Our produce farmers grow a minimum of 75-80% of what they sell, and our livestock farmers humanely raise their animals on pasture with no antibiotics or added growth hormones.
