Bread & Butter Farm was purchased in the fall of 2009 as a VT Land Trust farm. We are 143 acres just south of Burlington, VT. Corie Pierce and Adam WIlson, friends and business partners, launched their diversified small farm where they raise Jersey cows who are grass-fed, contented animals to sell their delicious raw milk. Additionally, they bake traditional, German-style sourdough breads in a wood-fired oven. Additionally, the grow veggies year round in unheated, passive solar hoophouses. Finally, they raise organically managed, 100% grass-fed beef.
All products are available at their farm store, open year round. They also attend the Burlington Farmers Markets (summer and winter). They also sell their bread at local grocery stores.
From May-Oct we host an on-farm "Burger Night" every Monday and Friday evening where we sell our own grass-fed burgers, salads from our gardens, housemade buns and cookies. We have live music and the atmosphere is festive and fun! We run the grill from 4:30-7:30 each evening.
Finally, ee host a winter convert series in our cozy bakery called the "Silo Sessions" featuring local and amazing musicians. We can seat up to 70 so it is an intimate acoustic show! We also do other community events throughout the year.
A truly great craft bakery that has interesting house concerts from time to time. The bread is special and worth the trip to get it. It's a meal in itself.
