Johnson Farm is a u-pick and fruitstand located in Gridley, CA. We are a small family farm on 5 acres with a large variety of summer produce at both u-pick and already picked prices. Mark Johnson has his masters from UC Davis in organic weed control, and focuses on sustainable farming, using as little spray as possible. We start our season in May with cherries, blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries. Throughout the summer season we have summer squash, greenbeans, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, okra, eggplant, grapes, cantelope, watermelon, raspberries, corn, and herbs. In August come scar a pumpkin. October we will start selling our pumpkins along with some our winter crops as they become available. In November we will start our winter CSA. We are currently building a bakery on our property and are licensed to bake, can, and preserve produce grown on our farm. With luck (and a speedy health department process) the bakery will be open by the end of this summer. We also planted a small orchard 3 years ago and hope to start having stone fruit and other tree fruit this summer. We are open mid-May thru October. Saturday and Wednesday from 8am - 3pm. Just off Hwy 99, 2 mi south of Gridley.
