Woods Farmers Market

Woods Farmers Market offers locally grown produce, eggs, goat cheese, jams, jellies, pickles, preserves, baked goods and hand-crafted items. Locally-grown foods don't have to endure long storage and long distance travel, so they are generally far more flavorful, fresher, and thus retain more health-building nutrients. Take the "The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services" challenge... by supporting your local farmer - buy locally grown foods to boost the local economy. The buy local challenge is in its ninth year and is an unending promotion, buy just $10.00 a week of local grown produce and boost Virginia's economy by 1.65 billion a year! We are located at the pavilion at Woods Methodist Church, 7200 Hickory Road, South Chesterfield, Virginia. Our market begins on June 15th (2013) at 8:30 a.m. until noon. We will continue the market through October until the last produce has been picked. In an effort to bring our community together, Woods United Methodist Church, offers free space for vendors to sell their locally grown produce and homegrown products. New vendors are invited.
