Gateway Organic Farm - 3.19 acres of urban paradise! USDA Certified Organic (2010) The last family farm left standing in the heart of Pinellas County,FL - the most densely populated county south of NYC! We are only 100' wide but over 1/4 mile long! Sustainable Urban Agriculture at work. Gateway is a former landscape nursery transformed into a series of organic herb and vegetable gardens. Our goal is to provide the freshest vegetables, herbs, and flowers to our CSA members and local Tampa Bay chefs who share our love of "slow food." Owners are founding board members of Slow Food Tampa Bay, chapter of Slow Food USA. Join our CSA and Slow the Fork Down- prepare a Farm2Table meal in your own home each week for less than $40!! Volunteers are welcome to come to learn about organic gardening. Please register for orientation by contacting our website. We ask for a min. 3 month commitment from volunteers. School field trips and Groups up to 50 are welcome to schedule a tour of the farm Nov-May. Teachers - Our program utilizes the FL Dept of Agriculture's AG in the classroom activities that are Common Core approved for credit across the curriculum! Tours are 1 1/2 -2 hrs. Picnic space available if you plan to bring lunch. Gathering House - 24' x 80' space is also available in our greenhouse for groups wanting a unique setting for your next event, meeting or Farm2Table dinner. Vegetables, Herbs, & Flowers! Fresh Farm Eggs and Raw Local Honey!
