Village Farm

Village Farm is a small, diversified, certified organic family farm in Freedom, Maine. We cultivate about 4 acres of vegetables, herbs and flowers for our 75 household CSA and several wholesale accounts. Our Summer CSA runs from mid June to mid October, at least 17 weeks. Our Late Fall CSA runs from mid-October to late December. We are offering Egg Shares and Cheese Shares in both Summer and Fall in 2013!! There are two ways to pick up weekly CSA vegetables: at the farm, or at the UU Church in Belfast. At the weekly distributions, we set up what looks like a farmers' market but no money is exchanged. Members select their produce for the week and an "extras" box is the place to swap produce amongst members. We accept Snap benefits (formerly food stamps), we offer payment plans and we have some reduced rate shares available. We raise pastured poultry for eggs and meat and pastured pork and beef as well. We enjoy being farmers and growing great food for our neighbors.
