Born in 2006, Pitchfork Farm has grown to produce on roughly 16 acres of wonderful loam soil in Burlington's beautiful Intervale. Farmers Eric Seitz and Rob Rock work tirelessly to innovate better ways to produce beautiful, nutritious organic vegetables, and get those veggies to as many people as possible. Our customers are almost as diverse in nature as the vegetables that we grow, collaborating with numerous local restaurants, vending for a variety of grocery stores, operating a medium sized seasonal CSA, and investing in the creation and delivery of locally sourced meal kits! What can we say, we like to keep busy down here in the Intervale.
In order to serve the needs of all our customers, we work year-round growing and delivering over 50 varieties of herbs, micro greens and pea shoots, roots, squash, greens, radishes, turnips, cabbage, carrots, melons, potatoes, tomatoes, corn, beans....we could really go on and on.
As organic, diversified vegetable farmers, Rob and Eric know all too well the importance of efficiency and innovation in successful farming and community outreach. As a result, Upstream Ag (http://www.upstreamag.com/) was born to provide innovations of all shapes and sizes, to help others in the farming community succeed as well! Here you can find everything from bag stands (who really wants to bag beets while with one hand?) to prone weeders (say goodbye to weeding on hands and knees!), with much, much more in between.
At Pitchfork Farm, we've combined a love of producing, providing and eating nutritious, healthy food, with a love of our surroundings, a locally-based sustainable food systems, and the people that support it all!
