K&D Farm

K&D Farms is a family owned and operated small-scale farm in Monroe, North Carolina. The main focus of our farm is to produce high quality produce with limited use of organically approved chemicals and responsible farming practices. K&D Farms is considered a sustainable farm that produces a wide variety of vegetables, fruit, mushrooms and honey. Dustin is an Agriculture extension agent who is passionate about sustainability and loves to practice the latest and greatest in production techniques. Dustin and Karen's children, Savannah and Bryson, love to help with the planting and harvest! Much of Dustin's knowledge is from that of his grandparent's teachings, based in a rich history and heritage. Therefore, he often prefers to use antique equipment and old fashioned, physical labor. Also, K&D Farms specializes in a variety of crops including rare and heirloom varieties of produce that have a richer, more complex flavor than many hybrids.
