Established in 2007, the Riverside Farmers Market is located in rural East Pottawattamie County and serves the communities of: Oakland, Carson, Macedonia, Avoca, Hancock, and Walnut. The market runs on Wednesday afternoons 3:00PM to 6:00PM June to October. Local food producers from Pottawattamie County and any of the surrounding counties are invited to participate. Items for sale at the farmers market must be locally grown and/or raised, and the booth must be staffed by the farmer, rancher, close associate or family member. Shoppers are encouraged to get to know the vendors at the market and to be curious about the many flavors and specialty items that are available throughout the season. Several vendors participate in WIC, SFMNP, and EBT. Events are held two times a month, with a focus on family-friendly games and entertainment. We look forward to seeing you!
