Zekiah Farms is dedicated to the stewardship of our family, land, and traditions. Our practices include sustainable agriculture, quality naturally raised meats, and alternative agriculture enterprises that include on-farm learning experiences. Naturally Raised Meats Zekiah Farms offers naturally raised meats. Beef, pork, goat, chicken, rabbit, and lamb are available year round. Turkeys are available in the fall for the holiday seasons. Zekiah Farms naturally raised meats are hormone, antibiotic, and steroid free. Our animals are raised on a natural diet of pasture, hay, and grain to meet their nutritional needs. Our animals are lovingly raised with daily hands on attention. Happy, healthy animals make tastier meat. Premium Dry-Aged Beef (Dry-aged for 14-21 days), provides a more flavorful and tender cut. Pound for pound, you are getting more beef and not water weight. The meats are flash-frozen and vacuum-sealed to maintain its freshness and flavor. Our hotdogs and smoked products are uncured and nitrate / nitrite free. Our products are available through our farm store, CSA, farmers market, and Southern Maryland Meat partners. AGRITOURISM Nestled in historic Bryantown with the environmentally rich Zekiah Swamp running through it, Zekiah Farms makes the perfect place for family, school, youth, or corporate outings. Zekiah Farms has developed programs to help educate and give memorable farm experiences. These programs will not only be educational, but entertaining and fun as well. Our goal is to share an understanding and love for agriculture and the environment. EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS & ACTIVITIES Fall Fest 2 Mazes over 9 acres 3 miles of pathway, Hayride, Face painting, Farm animals, Straw pit, Picnic area, Recreation area with games, Pumpkins, Food, & much more. School Field Trips Half/full day program, we limit daily attendance. Some of the other topics in: History, Mathematics in everyday farm life, Problem solving, Geography, Farm animals, Types of cultivation, Conservation practices, Orienteering, Significance of the Zekiah Swamp, Indigenous Flora and Fauna, soil, and plant cultivation. Wetland Tours The farm is over 300 acres and with the environmentally significant natural resources of the Zekiah Swamp; it makes this a unique experience. Water Quality Examine the aquatic life, to determine the health of the water and environment.
