This is the original San Francisco Farmers Market, started over 60 year ago to help distribute extra produce from WWII victory gardens in the area.

The San Francisco Farmers Market, also known as the Alemany Farmers Market is located at 100 Alemany Blvd., just west of Bayshore Blvd., at the junction of Hwy. 101 and 280. It is open from 6am until the last farmer leaves, usually around 3 pm.

The produce is plentiful, and there is tremendous diversity at more reasonable prices than most farmer markets. In addition to being a San Francisco institution, it is a neighborhood place where we see old friends and meet new ones.
Extremely diverse "cultural" foods representing many, many ethnic groups of peoples diet! And, it is now over 1/2 or more organic grown, locally grown! I love The original San Francisco local Farmer's Market@
