In Good Heart Farm is a small, diversified produce farm in Chatham County, North Carolina, growing food with care—for the land, for our community, and for the sheer pleasure of eating really good food.
We believe food should be fresh, beautiful, and deeply flavorful. The kind of food that reminds you what vegetables are supposed to taste like. The kind that makes simple meals feel nourishing and celebratory. That flavor doesn’t happen by accident—it comes from healthy soil, careful harvesting, and farming in close relationship with the land and those who share it.
Since 2009, we’ve been growing a wide diversity of vegetables year-round, guided by the seasons and grounded in organic, ecological practices. We focus on nutrient density, soil health, and biodiversity, knowing that when the land is well cared for, the food it produces is more vibrant, resilient, and delicious.
Our CSA is at the heart of the farm. It’s not just a way to buy produce—it’s a partnership. When you join In Good Heart Farm, you are choosing to eat with the seasons, to support small-scale farming, and to share in both the abundance and the uncertainty that come with growing food in a changing climate. In return, we commit to growing the very best food we can, with transparency, care, and integrity.
We also believe that access to good food matters. Through our Farm It Forward program, community members help fund solidarity shares so that fresh, nourishing food can reach more tables.
This farm is more than a place where food is grown. It’s a living, working landscape—a classroom, a gathering place, and a reminder that food connects us to each other and to the land that sustains us. We love sharing our farm story, working alongside our crew and apprentices, and welcoming our community into this ongoing relationship.
