The Montclair Farmer’s Market, which began its eleventh successful season in June of 2003, is managed by the Montclair Economic Development Corporation. The market is open from the end of June through November on Saturdays from 8 am to 2 pm, and is managed by volunteers. The market features a wide variety of fresh regionally-grown produce (including organic), as well as cut flowers, homemade cheese, pickles, organic bread and more. The market helps NJ family farmers, enables people to meet, talk to, and ask questions of the person who grew their food, brings shoppers into local business districts and is a great place to meet friends and neighbors.

I really appreciate meeting the persons who grow the food that I buy. I feel a connectiness in buying locally grown food from the farmers. I really enjoy Starbrite Farms, an organic farm, and speaking with John and Matt.... [more]
I like supporting the farmers and their staff. Everyone is friendly and the food is excellent
Variety! Every is so nice & helpful. And I even saw a couple farmers posting signs for those in hard times b/c of the economy they will give some produce to them! How awesome is thst!?!?!
October is here, and as the seasons change, so do the choices of fresh, regionally grown produce at the Montclair Farmer's Market. Peaches and corn are beginning to finish as the apples are arriving. Apples have had a superb growing season and some growers predict one of their best harvests in years. There is still plenty of time for leafy greens, and of course there is never a short supply of baked goods, cheeses and pickles.
