Hedlin Farms is a multi-generational family farm currently in its 3rd generation. We are located outside LaConner, WA, near the mouth of the Skagit River, where we have been since Rasmus Koudal came over from Denmark in 1906. We currently grow organic and pesticide free conventional produce for our fresh market sales at our LaConner farmstand, a 200 share CSA with pickup locations throughout the lower Skagit Valley.
We grow a wide range of vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers including red-ripe (and orange yellow, purple, and green-ripe!) heirloom, cherry, and beefsteak tomatoes, as well as sweet and hot peppers, eggplant, slicing cucumbers, and a full range of WSDA Certified Organic field produce. We also carry locally crafted pickles, cheese, milk, butter, bread, and honey at our farmstand.
In total, we farm about 400 acres, half conventionally, half WSDA Certified Organic.
Our entire farm is also Salmon-Safe Certified.
Our motto is "Grown while you watch by people you know." We have been farming in the Skagit Valley for close to a hundred years and are committed to farming here for another hundred. We stand for multigenerational stewardship, fresh vegetables, and accountability to our grandchildren, our neighbors, and ourselves.
