The Sustainable Nantucket Farmers & Artisans Market runs Saturday mornings from 9:00am to 1pm June 7 - October 11, 2014. The Market features nearly 50 vendors of locally grown vegetables, herbs, plants and cut flowers, as well as baked goods, popsicles, hot food, island berry jams, jellies, fruit and honey in season, eggs when available, and locally, hand-crafted ceramics, jewelry, textiles, paintings, woodworking, leathercraft, and other island crafts all made by Nantucketers on Nantucket. The Entertainment Tent features local musicians and educational and chef demonstrations from some of the island's world-class restaurants.
The Mid-Island Market is a great place to buy local farm produce on the way home from work or the beach. This Market is held Tuesday afternoons from 3:30-6:30 pm at The Muse on Surfside Road, July 8-Aug. 23, 3:30-6:30pm.

locally grown, locally made... it's all there and great! Twice this week I've seen women with great necklaces on and both times the response I got to the "Great Necklace!" comment was "Oh, Farmer's Market!"... So, Lot's of artistic folks, not just tomatoes...
