City Green

City Green is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization facilitating the establishment of urban farms and community, youth and school gardens in northern NJ cities - creating increased access to healthy, local food while cultivating education in food systems, nutrition and the environment. Our main 5-acre farm is headquartered on a historic property in Clifton on Grove St. (right off Route 46 and the Parkway!), and operates a 1-acre farm and learning garden in Eastside Park in Paterson. The City Green Farm Eco-Center in Clifton boasts a greenhouse, recently restored farmhouse & barn, as well as a Learning Garden that hosts educational farm camps and field trips. City Green currently has 2.5 acres of the property in organically-grown vegetable production and grows over 50 varieties of produce, and is home to some happy chickens and goats. We operate farmers markets during the growing season at our farm in Clifton, as well as markets in Passaic and Paterson, and welcome volunteer groups and corporate groups. We hope to see you soon!
