W Koschara & Sons farming operations was first established on Long Island New York near the hamlet of Selden in 1895 by William Koschara and his wife Gersche. William emigrated to the US in 1887 from Germany. The family farm raised vegetables sold locally, trucked to NYC and as far as Connecticut. The farm was sold on Long Island in 1966 when the family moved to the Upstate N.Y. town of Groveland. A grain farm operation was established and now great grandson Greg and his wife Kathy are now growing Heritage Mulefoot Hogs, Heritage Chickens, and Eggs for our local community. Located in Groveland N.Y. on Rt. 63 approx. 2 mi. from the corner of 63 and 408. Current business hours are 10:am to 6:pm Monday through Thursday and weekends.
