Marble Valley Farm is a small, ecologically-managed farm emphasizing a broad range of vegetable varieties with outstanding flavor, nutrition, and visual and historical appeal. We use only safe, time-honored growing practices such as crop rotation, cover crop & green manure growing, and plant- and rock-based powders to feed our soil and plants. (No pesticides or herbicides, etc.) We market our vegetables on-site at our farmstand, along with pasture-raised beef, pork, chicken, lamb, eggs, apples, and pears raised by our farming neighbors. Customers may choose between our CSA and our weekend market-style farmstand. We also have a midweek honor system so customers can help themselves to the salad greens, tomatoes, potatoes, garlic, squashes, cucumbers and other goodies, even when we're out in the field. Owner/operator Megan Haney has over 20 years' growing experience, having completed in 1990 an Apprenticeship in Ecological Horticulture at the University of California's renowned Farm & Garden School (the nation's oldest formal program providing training in the concepts and practices of organic gardening and small-scale farming).
