Peace of Prairie was begun in 2013 by owners Andy and Cassie Herringshaw. We continue to grow slowly each year. This year (2016) we've added a weekly subscription service (CSA) and have begun selling garlic and garlic seed through on-line orders. Our vegetable operation is certified organic, and our eggs are from hens raised outside on grass and garden scraps. We focus on building overall soil health through crop rotations, cover crops, and natural sources of fertility (like manure and compost). At the heart of our decision to grow organically is this: that we expect to live on this land for the rest of our lives, and so we make every decision keeping in mind our desire to grow healthy, high-quality, and tasty food using practices that enhance the fertility of our land.
**Available year-round** Farm-fresh eggs in our self-service stand (south side of Okmulgee Street, about 1/4 mile west of Ben Franklin school. Follow us on Facebook for updates on additional items available in the stand.
