Third Way Farm is a local organic regenerative farm where we are living into a mission to empower people to engage in a robust local food economy that is healthier and better for our land, our bodies, and our communities.
At Third Way, we practice regenerative agriculture that cultivates faith, community, and Justice for all - what does that look like?

Vegetables, fruits, herbs-
All of our produce is grown with organic regenerative no-till practices- by not tilling the soil, we are building and sustaining an abundant and healthy microbiological community. This soil in turn produces the most delicious and nutrient dense veggies/fruits/herbs possible. We adhere to organic standards, using no GMO?s, synthetic fertilizers, pesticides or chemicals of any kind.
CSA- all of our vegetables can be purchased a la carte at our on farm store, Farmer?s market, and online, but the BEST and most affordable way to enjoy our veggies and herbs weekly is to join our CSA! We offer easy pre-selected options (Farmers Choice) and fully customizable CSA shares (Your Choice), for pickup on the farm, at the Havre de Grace Farmers Market, and we offer Home Delivery for your convenience. Our CSA runs for 30 weeks of the year, but we have produce available, along with our meat and eggs, 52 weeks a year in our Barn Store and through our Home Delivery service.

Meats-
Beef and Lamb- We raise heritage breed, 100% grass-fed beef and lamb in an intensive rotational grazing system. We love our livestock, both above and below ground, seeking a mutual thriving of all aspects of our pasture ecosystem: animals, plants, insects, and soil microorganisms. Our cattle and sheep have names and are considered a part of our family.
You won?t find more flavorful beef and lamb, whether grass fed or grain fed!

Pork- We raise heritage breed pigs in a woodland-based rotational system. We feed our pigs a diet of locally grown grain, spent brewers grain from a local farm brewery, and some vegetable scraps. What they really love though is foraging for things like nuts, seeds, roots, and more on the forest floor, all things that diversify their diet and enhance the nutritional value of resulting pork products we consume. We love interacting with our pigs and they often enjoy a good scratch and pet from us! Our pork tastes noticeably better than anything you can find from the grocery store!

Eggs- Our laying hens are 100% pasture raised, getting to enjoy a cage-free life on pasture all the time, eating grass, bugs, and more to supplement their locally grown grain and spent brewers grain diet. The birds follow our cattle and sheep, serving as the cleanup crew for the pastures, spreading around the bigger livestocks? manure to improve the soil?s health!

Flowers - Cut and dried flowers are integrated into our vegetable, fruit, and herb production, serving an important role in our pest management and creating pollinator habitat. We offer beautiful seasonal bouquets that can be purchased at our Barn store, markets, and online for Home Delivery!

Internship - We offer an immersive internship program for people of all ages, that equips and empowers people to join the regenerative farming movement, or just to learn how to grow food for you and your family. We strongly emphasize our values of faith, community. and justice in this program, seeking to build meaningful and transformational relationships together as we do this good work of agriculture and serve our local community.
