Flyway Family Farm is a small family farm specializing in organic vegetables, free-range eggs, and gourmet mushrooms. We are nestled in the heart of the Shawnee Hills, surrounded by Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge. The health and happiness of our plants, fungi, animals, and soils are our top priorities. This is accomplished, in part, by rotationally grazing using large paddocks along with mobile chicken, rabbit, and hog pens. Our vegetables are available throughout the growing season at markets and restaurants in Carbondale or at our roadside stand. Free Range, nest-run eggs are available year round at the farm. Currently our fresh oyster mushrooms are available at the Neighborhood Coop in Carbondale. We will hopefully be at the Carbondale Farmers Market with many more mushrooms for sale this spring.

Now selling a limited number of Mushroom Shares for the Southern Illinois Region. Shares begin at 3 months (12 deliveries) and can be extended up to a year. Weekly shares will include at least a pound of oyster mushrooms, shiitake's, wine caps and more. We also have a few openings left in our CSA that will run 30 weeks and include veggies, eggs, and mushrooms.
