Old Miakka Farmer's Market

Saturdays 9am - 2pm

Come on out and experience real Florida life! Relax and enjoy the oak-shaded, friendly, down-home atmosphere of the Old Miakka pioneer community. The Farmer's Market is located on the grounds of the historic Old Miakka United Methodist Church. The church has been the social hub for our area since the 1800's. It is only fitting that they have welcomed the market to be part of the community. Our Farmer's Market offers a growing variety of items. It is a resource for fresh local farm produce both certified organic and naturally grown pesticide free items. Many different artisans and craftsmen are featured.

Stroll through the shade and shop for items like:

  • A variety of seasonal, local, home-grown and certified organic produce
  • Fresh raw dairy goat products from a small local farm including milk, chevre, Feta cheese and more (pet food only per state law)
  • Local Dakin Dairy Cow Milk
  • Fresh, local free-range eggs
  • Local, raw honeys (Orange Blossom, Saw Palmetto, Wildflower), honey in the comb,
  • Lovely handsewn clothing items, Edible plants, Exotic flowers and much more! The churches re-sale shop, Treasures is open during the market.
  • Bring your family and friends to enjoy drive and live farm animal demonstrations! Make us your first stop on a day long adventure in the country. Past us is the Crowley Museum and Nature Center, then skip to the back gate of Myakka River State Park just over the Myakka River bridge. Bring a cooler too take home your goodies. Meet your local farmers selling their fresh farm products. We always Welcome new vendors.
