Eggsotics

My goal is to produce fresh fruits, vegetables and eggs with an emphasis on uniqueness and sustainability. I grow seasonal produce 365 days a year, working primarily as a one-woman operation covering several acres of specialty crops. Every plant is grown from seed or vegetative cutting by me, so I pay close attention to everything on farm.

I strive to provide unique colors and flavors, and source materials that you may have never seen or tasted. It brings new layers of challenges because many of these are not adapted for growth in Florida, particularly in our harsh climate for pests and plant disease. Still, with rigorous attention and horticultural skills, and use of high tunnels and hydroponics, I can provide farm-fresh produce year 'round.

I also raise free-range chickens and ducks for eggs, focusing on unique breeds, egg size and color. I also have a small nursery to supply garden plants and fruit trees.

I'm excited to give back to the community, and host several farm tours and children's gardening events every year.
