Brainerd Farmers' Market takes place every Saturday from April through October from 10 am to 12 pm (11 to 12 in November through March). We have a variety of local seasonal produce much of which is grown organically. In addition to traditional vegetables and herbs we usually have seasonal fruits, from strawberries through peaches and melons. Other vendors supply grass fed beef, chicken, pork, plants, and honey and soap. Our Market is new and growing so we expect to add more farmers and craft vendors in the future.
We frequently have local musicians performing to the delight of vendors and customers, and the Church hosting the Market makes ice water available and an information stand with recipes, cooking demo and local food information. The Market is on a parking lot in the shade and provides a comfortable place for people to come, mingle and buy sustainably produced local food.
