In the early 1960's Doug and Evelyn Underwood purchased 65 acres on Buffalo Road in what is now known as Bellevue. This land is now the site of the Buffalo Road Produce and the Underwoods children, granchildren, and great-grandchildren all play a part in bringing fresh, all-natural, locally grown food to you, our friends and neighbors.
In1978 Doug Underwood founded the Westview Community Newspaper. In addition to journalism and his family, he loved every aspect of gardening. It was this foundation, his wisdom of and passion for growing things, which he passed along through the generations.
We have always found it rewarding to walk out to our backyard and have fresh fruits and vegetables, but it wasn't until 2007 that we had the idea and the means to bring these all natural foods to you.
In 2015 the varieties we will be able to bring to you includes farm vegetables such as squash, tomatoes, beans, melons, herbs, variety of greens, flowers, etc. also produce like eggs from our free range chickens, honey from our beehives and other all natural items
