Red H Farm is a community-supported farm founded in Sebastopol, California in 2009, specializing in heirloom fruits and vegetables. At Red H we use agroecological farming practices focusing on land and water stewardship. At the farm we never use chemicals. Instead we rely on soil management and biodiversity to promote plant growth and vibrant agroecosystems. This includes composting, mulching, cover-cropping, crop rotation, dry farming, incredible crop diversity and more! We believe firmly in human rights and fair relationships with workers. Red H Farm is a woman-owned business with deep roots in the county - Farmer Caiti transformed what was once a small open field where she played as a child into a working farm! When you visit the farm you will often find nephews running around and grandparents helping out with projects from greenhouse construction to vegetable washing. Sebastopol's coastally-influenced climate with foggy mornings, sunny days and cool evenings provides for a wide variety of crops at Red H Farm. This includes longer lasting cool-season vegetables like spinach and fava beans, packed-with-flavor dry farmed tomatoes, cooler-climate watermelons and a rainbow colored pumpkin patch! Our small size (we farm about 2 acres) enables us to orchestrate interesting trades with neighboring farms, enhancing the offerings in our weekly boxes. We pride ourselves on creating the kinds of relationships that are the foundation of a healthy local foodshed. Red H Farm offers a weekly farm box of unique and tasty vegetables, seasonal fruits, herbs and flowers. We also offer occasional jams, eggs from our flock of chickens and meat from Splitrail Family Farms. Our products can be found through the CSA program, at the Sebastopol farmers market, at local restaurants or through special orders. We love volunteers and can arrange farm tours by special request. Just get in touch!

Products and Crops

We are currently transitioning to no-till! We are using a sheet mulching system to build permanent beds throughout the field. This system will benefit soil structure, retain more soil moisture, help out soil-dwelling critters, reduce fossil fuel use, sequester carbon and reduce our time spent weeding!
