Waverly Farms

Waverly Farms practices sustainable, integrated farming and does not use pesticides, herbicides, artificial fertilizers, growth hormones, preventive antibiotics, preservatives or other potentially harmful chemicals. We are Animal Welfare Approved for our pastured breeding goats, pigs and laying hens. We were so proud last year to be named the 2012 Conservation Farmer of the Year by Piedmont Soil and Water Conservation District. We grow most vegetables, herbs and some fruit (melons and strawberries for now). Our honey bees produce amazing raw honey and our pastured, soy-free and organically fed hens provide the healthiest, best tasting eggs around. We also sell pastured beef by the quarter, half or whole. Savanna and Spanish goats are sold for breeding and meat. American Guinea hogs are also sold for breeding and meat. We offer weekly or bi-weekly vegatable+egg CSA shares that sometimes include canned and baked goodies from our garden.
