We grew up in Rising Sun, MD on our family farm. Our grandparents were coal miners in West Virginia. When the mine shut down they moved to Maryland and started saving. After a few years they bought what is now Brewer's Hide-A-Way. When we were little our dad always had a garden and a few animals to keep us busy. The farm has always been a place for people to gather to enjoy good food and good stories. Those memories have remained with us and we are happy to share the farm and expand our garden to produce food for our community.
Our farm offers CSA membership, Farm 2 Table dinners two times per month, as well as selling at Newark Farmer's Market. We grow with organic methods although we are not certified. We offer a huge selection of vegetables with many beautiful varieties and flavors! Chickens, pigs, and sheep also call our farm home.
