In July of 2008 Karen Padgett started the farmers market in the parking lot of the Wayne County Health Department. The market is held on Wednesdays, the child care day at the Health Department, and is open to growers in Wayne County and adjacent counties. (No crafts, and baked goods allowed ONLY if also selling produce and ingredients are at least partially grown by seller)

I just moved back to Goldsboro after 15 years and was excited to see Goldsboro had a Farmers Market. It is only a few people and is only on Wed. I support local food and I would like to see more poeple do the same.
