Operating since the late 1970s, the farmers' market has long been an important fresh food experience for residents of Martinsville and Henry County. The Uptown Farmers' Market is truly one of Martinsville's most time-honored traditions! For approximately 25 years, folks have come to the Market to buy, sell, and exchange goods. Monthly Tasty Saturday events have made the Market is becoming one of Martinsville's hottest spots. These Saturdays feature live music, a chef of the month demo, and artisans from PHCC Artisan Center demonstrating their crafts. The Uptown Martinsville Farmers' Market is operated by Martinsville Uptown Revitalization Association. Martinsville Uptown is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and revitalization of Uptown Martinsville.
**We are now open on Saturdays and attendants are Collin's Seafood with seafood and produce, the Wilson's with eggs, Sunny Acres Farm with baked goods and lettuce, the VA Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners with patio plants, hanging baskets, and potted herbs; and Dogwood Acres with baked goods. Please bear with us; the Easter frost has slowed down a lot of our farmers! Next Tasty Saturday is June 16 - Gourmet Day!****
