Mix a handful of plant nerds who like to eat well and hate commuting out of our neighborhood for garden supplies and local sustainable produce with a rad vacant double bay garage and years worth of saved and left over seeds and you get City Farm! Our goal is to create a green space for folks to come and hang out, get inspired about tearing up that last patch of lawn and maybe take home something new to grow out along with some delicious fruits and veggies for dinner. We like to eat well, we like our friends and neighbors to be able to eat well, and we like to do it all as locally as possible. We have 2 urban farms within a dozen blocks where we grow many of our veggie and herb starts and all of our produce. We use absolutely no chemical fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides, or herbicides and work to make sure all of our crops are grown as sustainably as possible. We give preference to heirloom varieties but every now and then there is a hybrid worth growing. We absolutely will not grow or sell any variety we can not trust to be 100% GMO free.
