Who We Are:
Common Ground CSA was established in 2012 as a partnership between two friendly farmers who individually own and operate Lake Hayward Farm and Cold Spring Farm. With the farms at opposite ends of the Town of East Haddam, Jeff Savitsky and Jess Stone decided the best way to feed everyone is to join forces!
Together, Jeff and Jess share many years of agricultural experience and look forward to bringing delicious farm foods to your table for many seasons to come. This unique and exciting collaboration between two farmers will serve the residents of East Haddam, Colchester and neighboring towns beginning in 2013.
How Common Ground CSA Works:
CSA members purchase food shares in advance of the growing season to help offset farmers' initial costs at rate set by farmers, Jeff and Jess. During each week of the growing season, shareholders pick up shares on Tuesdays and Fridays from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Lake Hayward Farm located at 46 Town Road, Colchester, CT.
The 2013 CSA will operate from May 28 thru October 11. Shares are seasonal and must be renewed each year, prior to the start of the growing season. This year's application and payment deadline is April 1, 2013.
