Olean Farmers Market

The Olean Hillside Farm's market, now in its 21st year, opens for business this year on Saturday, May 9, and will be open every Saturday until the end of October from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. - except for July 4, Aug. 23 and Sept. 12. The Giambrones, an Amish baker and Miller's Farm Market will be on hand for the May 9 opening, but more vendors will come on board as the growing season moves into summer, Mrs. Giambrone said. "We're still free for vendors," said Jean Giambrone, director of the newly named Olean Hillside Farmers Market. "The only thing we ask is that vendors don't sell junk. This is a farmers market, not a flea market. Crafts are fine, as long as they are homemade."
