The Emerson-Garfield Farmers' Market is a seasonal weekly marketplace featuring around two dozen regional and neighborhood vendors. Their products include organic, locally grown fruits and vegetables, breads and pastries (including gluten-free), farm-fresh eggs, artisan soaps, raw and flavored honey, flowers and plant starts, crafts, pickles and preserves, pasture-raised meats, plus lots more.
The aim of the market is to bring fresh, affordable goods that are locally grown or produced to the residents of Emerson-Garfield as well as all those who pass through our up-and-coming neighborhood. The market accepts EBT/SNAP/Quest as payment and participates in Fresh Bucks and FMNP (WIC market vouchers).
The market takes place every Friday from 3 to 7pm in the parking lot of the IEL's Adult Education Center at 2310 North Monroe in the Emerson-Garfield Neighborhood. This highly visible location along a major retail corridor offers ample parking, connection with public transportation (the #24 bus line) and close proximity to other North Monroe retailers. Each week the market provides entertainment in the form of local musical talent.
This market is an ongoing partnership between Emerson-Garfield Neighborhood Council and River City Youth Ops.
