Since 1987, Greater Newark Conservancy's mission has been to promote environmental stewardship to improve the quality of life for residents in Newark and the surrounding communities. We have been improving the health and well-being of Newark and its residents through education, urban farming, youth farm stands and horticultural job training. Through our affordable CSA membership program, we provide inner-city residents with increased access to healthy food.

Greater Newark Conservancy grows produce on 2 urban farms located in Newark, providing residents with affordable, fresh, healthy produce. Our farms are non-GMO, organically-managed, and pesticide free.
Fruits and vegetables grown on our farms or purchased from local farmers is sold through a Youth Farm Stand Program, giving inner-city youth job training and entrepreneurship skills. The Conservancy also offers an affordable bi-weekly CSA membership program.
