Once upon a time, not so very long ago, in a little Texas town there lived a software engineer who valiantly made his living by driving back and forth into the big city each day. He didn't see his family much but he had a regular paycheck and their life was comfortable. Then one night this software engineer came home and told his wife, I wanna be a farmer! So he quit his career and became a farmer.
One day, as the family was outside working together the farmer's wife (who was still reeling from the shock of announcement) thought to herself, "This is nice. The children are little and we're all together. Someday we'll look back on this and say, "Those were the good old days..." And so "The Good Old Days Farm" was born.
We live simply. We enjoy the moments. We enjoy people.
We are a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture)-model farm and we sell naturally grown fruit from our orchard and vegetables. We also sell handcrafted soap.
We invite you to explore our website. Be sure to follow our adventures and misadventures on the family blog! After all, what's a software-engineer-farmer without a website?
