D.J.'s Fresh Produce was established in April 2010. Owner and farmer, Don Spoehr has a wide variety of quality produce. He starts from seed to harvest, growing many things in his greenhouse. In springtime he has green onions, spinach, heritage blend lettuce, romaine lettuce, asparagus, carrots, almond mushrooms, radishes, kale, greenhouse tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, red and Yukon gold potatoes, zucchini. By summer, other produce includes: cucumbers, zucchini, pickling cucumbers, blueberries, strawberries, peaches, watermelon, cantaloupe, green peppers, hot peppers, kohlrabi, cauliflower, broccoli, kale, cabbage, red, yukon gold, russet and purple fingerlings, yellow fingerlings, red fingerlings potatoes. Also, brussel sprouts, seedless watermelon, sweet onions both red and white are grown. Field tomatoes, roma tomatoes, cherry tomatoes too. Sweet corn, radishes, beets are other summer crops. When fall comes, he grows, peaches, blueberries, honey crisp apples, Macintosh apples, Cortland apples and pears.
