D.J.'s Fresh Produce was established in April 2010. Owner and farmer, Don Spoehr has a wide variety of quality produce. He starts from seed to harvest, growing many things in his greenhouse. In springtime he has green onions, spinach, heritage blend lettuce, romaine lettuce, asparagus, carrots, almond mushrooms, radishes, kale, greenhouse tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, red and Yukon gold potatoes, zucchini.
By summer, other produce includes: cucumbers, zucchini, pickling cucumbers, blueberries, strawberries, peaches, watermelon, cantaloupe, green peppers, hot peppers, kohlrabi, cauliflower, broccoli, kale, cabbage, red, yukon gold, russet and purple fingerlings, yellow fingerlings, red fingerlings potatoes. Also, brussel sprouts, seedless watermelon, sweet onions both red and white are grown. Field tomatoes, roma tomatoes, cherry tomatoes too. Sweet corn, radishes, beets are other summer crops. When fall comes, he grows, peaches, blueberries, honey crisp apples, Macintosh apples, Cortland apples and pears. The varieties of squash are: butternut, buttercup. spaghetti, acorn and Delicata as well as zucchini., Pie pumpkins, spinach, and heritage blend lettuce, carving pumpkins, sweet corn, cantaloupe, watermelon, romaine lettuce, kale, cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli, kohlrabi, beets, radishes. cherry tomatoes, yellow tomatoes, Roma tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet potatoes, Yukon gold potatoes, red potatoes, mushrooms, fingerling potatoes, and deer apples.
In the winter, the produce available is cabbage, kohlrabi, heritage blend lettuce, spinach, fingerling potatoes, red potatoes, Yukon Gold potatoes, Sweet onions, spaghetti squash, acorn squash, butternut squash, Sweet potatoes, mushrooms, Honey crisp apples, Cortland apples, Macintosh apples, beets, brussel sprouts, and red cabbage.
