Portsmouth Farmers Market offers locally grown produce and flowers every Tuesday morning from 8:00a.m.-12:00p.m starting July 1 and running until October 31. This market has been established for 15 years and is growing every year. Items available include berries, apples, peaches, nectarines, cantaloupe, watermelon, tomatoes, corn, beans, potatoes, peppers, eggplant, cider, apple butter, pumpkins, gourds, flower bunches and other typical market produce. Farmers market WIC coupons are accepted.

I don't know if this Farmer's Market will be open this year, but I have a request if they are - would weekend hours be possible so us working people could get there?
I've searched the area for a Farmer's Market and the only one I can find on the weekend is in Gallipolis - too far.
Portsmouth isn't a big town, so the farmers market follows suit with just a couple of booths. But despite it's size, it's got charm and variety. I haven't bought vegetables at the grocery (outside of bananas and avacados) since I started going to the market.... [more]
they are really close by and they have a good selections on there fruits and vegs.
Buy Local and Support the Local Economy and Community. Come and buy straight from the grower and enjoy the taste of fresh fruits and vegetables. They can't be beat!!!!!!!!!!!!
