Small scale diversified family farm growing top quality herbs, vegetables and flowers for farmers markets, restaurants, CSA and local grocery stores. We grow many heirloom and open-pollinated organic seed varieties and make our seed selections based on flavor, beauty and regional adaptability.
We focus on building farm and community resiliency through conservation based regenerative and ecologically informed practices.
We use organic amendments such as compost, trace minerals, living mulches and cover crops to build soil health. To help suppress weeds and build carbon and water holding capacity in the soil we use organic mulches-never plastic, and we are implementing a permanent raised bed system to further reduce soil disturbance and compaction and increase water holding capacity.
When it comes to pest and disease pressure the health of our plants is our first line of defense. If absolutely necessary, we use organic, biological and non broad spectrum OMRI/NOP approved sprays exclusively.
We also strive for conservation and waste reduction in our transplant production, post harvest practices and market packaging.
